Elements of Byron × News Corp

Body and Soul promotion for a luxury villa holiday at Elements of Byron
Elements of Byron × News Corp campaign

To support the launch of Elements of Byron’s new two-bedroom villas, I developed a targeted lifestyle partnership designed around the people most likely to book them, rather than chasing reach for its own sake.

What was the brief?

The resort wanted to introduce its new villas to women aged 40 and over. The campaign needed to communicate the quality of the accommodation, create desire and reach an audience already interested in wellbeing, travel and considered lifestyle choices.

What did I do?

I matched Elements of Byron with News Corp’s women’s lifestyle environment, including Whimn and Body+Soul. The partnership combined editorial context, digital, print and social promotion with a luxury Byron Bay holiday for four, including flights and accommodation.

Why was the audience fit important?

Luxury travel marketing can become generic very quickly. Here, the media environment, the reader and the prize all pointed in the same direction. The campaign showed the experience in a context that already held the audience’s attention and trust.

What was the result?

The partnership delivered more than $90,000 in reported exposure for Elements of Byron. It also supported data acquisition for News Corp, giving both partners a useful commercial outcome rather than treating the prize as an end in itself.

What does this show?

Strategic partner matching, audience insight, media integration and the ability to build a campaign where every element earns its place.
